For clarity....
The Sid Allen trophy is one of the BMFA sponsored trophies awarded for F3A.
Sponsorship by the BMFA means that a portion of the technical directors budget is set aside for upkeep of the trophy, its Insurance, Engraving and a 'paid for' invitation to the winner to collect at the annual awards dinner.
The terms of the trophies award are considered as part of the agreement to adopt the trophy. These can be changed, as was done with the Sid Allen in 2021, but revision of terms must be done via the correct route through the RC Power Technical Committee and onward to the Technical Director. (Who will not accept amendments any other way).
Ukf3a hold a seat on the RC Power Tech Committee. 
You award a trophy, change your schedules, nominate a team manager, decide your team trial process, determine your teams...all via the RCPTC.
Open event schedules should be flown to the published BMFA rule book and an application to change allocation of a trophy needs to hit the same deadline as published rule changes.
The RCPTC has to hold a plenary meeting within 6 weeks following the society AGM.
This typically means mid December.
I suggest if you want to make changes to any of your adopted trophies terms, you aim for that plenary.
