The Editor of RCM&E, Kevin Crozier, has put a brief review of my book in the July 2021 edition of the magazine.  It is under the Counterpoint section on page 78.

He will be putting a more detailed review in the September 2021 edition.

Kevin Crozier, Editor of RCM&E, has now published a full review of my book in the September edition of the magazine.  He's happy for me to share the bit he wrote about my book so I've attached a copy of the relevant page (page 9 if you have a copy already).

Yes, well done Peter plus advertising for the GBRCAA as well 👍

Peter Jenkins

Thanks Graham.

I reference the GBRCAA a lot in the book not least a chapter on how to fly the Clubman schedule.  Based on some of my conversations with those who have bought the book it is the sort of resource you need to  re-read regularly.  If you are starting out in aerobatics and have a photographic memory then 1 reading will suffice!

Funny thing is, I found that writing the book has helped me to improve my flying.  Of course, as we all know, competition is a great tutor.  I've picked up loads of information based on watching others fly and listening to how the really good pilots set up their aircraft.  What I have found is that some suggestions don't always work for me but adapting the techniques has helped me enormously.

Pleased to say that Keith Jackson has reviewed my book in the latest edition of RCM&E magazine.  You will find it on page 32.  Thanks Keith for giving it the thumbs up.

The latest recommendation for my book comes in the November issue of KFactor (the NSRCA's newsletter) which has a report by the Treasurer who has bought and read my book and says that "It is a good book and definitely one to keep in your library."

This follows a comment by the President of the NSRCA in an earlier newsletter saying he bought the book and wished he'd had something like it when he started flying precision aerobatics.

Andrew Palmer, who flies in the New Zealand F3A team, has also published a very helpful review of my book in his Club and the National newsletters.

You can buy the book (£19.99) or Kindle (£6.99) from Amazon (link).  I note that Amazon currently are promoting the book by reducing the price to £16.99!  I'm not sure how long this promotion will last as it is an Amazon initiative.

Alternatively, PM me with your address and I can send you a copy by first class post for £15.50 - that is if you are in the UK.  Outside the UK costs more for postage but I have sent books to New Zealand.

In the 7 months since publishing the book, sales have just passed 400 world-wide.

With Christmas coming into view, this might be a good time to drop a hint about a Christmas present or else get one for someone you know might benefit from the book.

Just to let to know that I am about to publish a 2nd Edition of my book that will cover the new Clubman Schedule as well now as the Intermediate Schedule.  I will post on here when I have published but I'm hoping that will be by the end of January 2022.

Peter Jenkins

Edition 2 of my book is now available from Amazon (link).  As I mentioned above, the book now covers how to fly the new Clubman Schedule as well as an updated practice routines section.  As one or two pilots have entered at Intermediate Schedule level, I have also written up how to fly that schedule.  This has pushed up the page count from 136 to 189 and so the cost of printing has gone up.  The Amazon price is £24.99 for the paperback (they are offering next day delivery for Prime customers) or £8.99 for the Kindle version.  I have had feedback that the diagrams come over better in the paperback than on the Kindle version.

Alternatively, PM me if you would like to buy a copy from me.  My price is £15.49 plus £3 p&p within the UK.  I can quote for other destinations or you can buy direct from Amazon in your area - just type in Model Aircraft Precision Aerobatics Edition 2" and it will find the book.  You should not be able to order Edition 1.  The title must include Edition 2 to be sure you are buying the right book!

Peter Jenkins

Hi Folks

I now have a stock of books to hand.

Please note that if anyone in the UK wants one, the Post Office has increased the cost of postage for this class of letter.  So p&p increases to £3.50.  So, cost of a book delivered to a UK address will be £18.99.

Outside the UK, the price will be £15.49 plus whatever the postage will be.  I can provide a quotation before you commit.

Thanks.

Peter

Big thank you to Kevin Crozier for including a 1/2 page write up on Edition 2 of my book in the current, March, issue of RCM&E.  Check out page 8.

If you would like to take up my offer to forumites, you can buy the book from me at a reduced rate compared with that on Amazon.  Just PM me with your name and address and I'll send you an invoice for £18.99 including first class post and packing to UK addresses.  I can send to other countries but will need to add the additional postage.  It will still be cheaper than the Amazon price of £24.99 plus postage (unless you are a Prime member).  It is usually next day delivery provided I can get the package in to the last post of the day.

Amazed to say that total sales of the book (Kindle and Paperback) have now passed 600 world-wide.  Way beyond my expectations!

Peter Jenkins

I recently received a review of Edition 2 of my book from Andrew Palmer.  Andrew flies in the the New Zealand F3A Aerobatics team and has represented NZ in many World and Continental Championships.  He posted this comment on FaceBook and is happy for me to use it here:
Interested in radio control aerobatics (or just improving your model setup and flying)?   Peter Jenkins (UK aerobatic flying enthusiast) has recently released a second edition of his book "Model Aircraft Precision Aerobatics".

This second edition is a book I would thoroughly recommend to anyone starting out in aerobatic flying. It also contains some good words of advice to more experienced pilots.

Well done Peter!
If you would like a copy you can buy one from Amazon ( in the UK use this link https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09QN72NVK or just type Model Aircraft Precision Aerobatics into your country Amazon) as either a Kindle (£8.99) or paperback (£24.99).
Edition 2 covers how to fly the new Clubman (2022 onwards) as well as the Intermediate Schedules.
Alternatively, forumites can buy the paperback book from me by sending me a PM to get the process going.  For UK based members, the cost will be £18.99 including first class post and packing.  I am happy to sell to others in the world but will need to apply the appropriate postage costs.
