Entries are now open for the UKF3A Championships and F3A World Cup Competition at Buckminster on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th June 2025.

This will be a combined event as in 2024.

I have attached the World Cup Competition Bulletin for information.

Please note that there will be no "P&F" class for the Championships - this is covered by the World Cup Competition. It is only permitted to enter either the Championships or the World Cup - not both.

On Friday 6th June there will be a UKCAA Classic Aerobatic event on the site until around 1600hrs. We will of course be welcome to attend the UKCAA event as a pilot or spectator, but the field will not be available for F3A use until their event has finished.

Last call for entries to our UKF3A Championships and World Cup competition. I need to close the entries by this Sunday 11th May to assess whether the event is viable.

I have to say that the response to our organisation's premier event is underwhelming. Buckminster is a valuable site and unless we can support it better, other disciplines will happily take our slots. I can't guarantee that the site cafe will be open either as we haven't reached the threshold for it to be worthwhile.

More entries and suggestions on what to do are welcome.

Hi Kevin, I entered on 01/05/2025 but I'm not on the entry list yet, I'm guessing it hasn't been updated yet?

Entry numbers are looking healthier now - thanks (and sorry for those I'd missed). The pilots in Intermediate and Masters would appreciate some competition though - so if anyone still wants to enter these classes (and Clubman) please do so.

For the World Cup competition, in common with the other countries that put on these events, we organise lunch (sandwiches, crisps, soft drink) on the field each day and an evening meal (a barbecue type buffet in our case). The payment for these gives us a small surplus which is used to partly offset the cost of running the event - site hire, judging expenses etc.

Our Championships, which of course run in parallel with the World Cup, don't have the meal option on the entry form, so I'd like to ask the Championships entrants if they would also consider taking part in the meal service to make it "one event" (and help our finances). Each lunch is priced at £12.50 and the Saturday evening meal is £25. The lunches are dropped off at the flight line around midday and the evening meal is served from the Flyers' Cafe with the option of relocating to the hangar if the weather isn't good enough to eat outside.

The Flyers' Cafe will also be open on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast and drinks, sandwiches etc until early afternoon. If you would like a cooked breakfast these need to be ordered directly with the cafe staff the day before.

Please let me know if you would like to take the meal options and of course if there is anyone with you who would also like to join in.

You can contact me by any of the usual routes - reply here, email, WhatsApp etc.

Hi all,
This is a call for a few volunteers to assist with Judging over the weekend.
I need a couple of WC pilots to help judge the Championship P flights and a couple of Champs P pilots for the Intermediate and Masters.
I hope any volunteer will only have to judge one round, so not too onerous.

Greg has offered his services already so I will gratefully receive an any other offers!

Many thanks

Al.
