Hi Phil,
Will Tom's FC competition in Bristol be counted as a valid competition for inclusion in the league tables etc? I kind of thought it would be viewed as an experimental competition with the outcome to be reviewed by members?

Hi Keith,
It's in the competition calendar same as any other competition so I didn't see a reason for it not to be included, just because of the way it's judged. it's still a competition same as any other after all.

Apologies for any misunderstanding but the Bristol FC competition, although included within the 2026 Competition calendar will be treated as a "Stand Alone" competition in the same way that the Grand Finale is at the end of the season.
It will used to gather information not only for the FC Team but the Association and its members in order to establish some common ground going forwards to overcome the present shortfall in regular Judges and hopefully lessen the need for Pilot Judges.

Keith, this is being discussed within Committee at the moment.
The present rules were inherited and possibly may need amendment.

By my calculations Steve Simm should have 862.89 and Javad should have 851.65 from the World Cup competition.
The scores from the World Cup that are used in the National League are from the preliminary rounds only because after that point, the pilots are split into two groups, one flying the P schedule and one flying the F schedule for the remaining rounds. It's not reasonable to use scores from what are then effectively two different competitions to allocate league points, as any one pilot cannot be in both competitions.
