Entries are open for the combined UKF3A Championships and FAI World Cup competition to be held on 22nd & 23rd June at Buckminster.
The format for the two day competition will be as follows:
Clubman, Intermediate, Masters, FAI P Only - best 3 flights from 4
World Cup - 3 rounds of P and 1 flight of F - best 2 P plus the F
If the entry level and time permits, we will have a further round for all classes - with the World Cup flying F again. In this case the final result will be the best 4 from 5 for Clubman, Intermediate, Masters and FAI P Only. For the World Cup competition the final result will be best 2 P plus best F.
Double entry fees apply for each class, except the World Cup, which has a separate entry fee.
The standard entry form will cater for all classes other than the World Cup. I will provide a link for the World Cup entries within the next few days, but please feel free to indicate here if you intend to enter this competition.

Here is the Bulletin for the World Cup competition.
Isn't there a requirement for non-UK pilots to hold a CAA exemption certificate to cover the Drone Laws? I thought the BMFA had a process for this.
Yes - and its the same when we fly in Europe, so there is a reciprocal arrangement.
Also, it's why we follow the EASA ID numbering system with a GBR at the front. France use FRA, Germany GER etc. You find their planes carry a very similar label to ours.
Minor but technical point within the WC bulletin references are made to P23 and F23, maybe P25 and F25 unless I'm missing something?

Thanks Kevin. Another thing to add to the memory!
Well spotted Graham - I'll correct it.
Thanks
Hello Kevin,
How the Championship will be related to Word cup? or they are completely separate but in a same day and venue?
If they are separate, can a single pilot enter separately for both competition? means two entry form and fees? hens he will fly on both and will score separately for each comp?
Thanks,
Javad,
If anyone is holding off from entering the UKF3A Championships because it is also a round of the FAI F3A World Cup then please reconsider. Don't think that the World Cup part of the competition means that our normal Championships has been relegated somehow. In fact the World Cup part effectively replaces the normal P&F class, so there is no impact on the other classes.
As a bonus you will get to see some top pilots from Europe flying.
More entries will be welcome.
Thanks
Kevin
I would have entered the Champs and likewise Knettishall but for a clash with a prearranged holiday. Hope all goes well with the event.
Mike
Holidays are going to be the death of competitions! Only kidding!
Last orders for the on-site meals please!
I've sent an email to those who haven't ordered - this includes everybody who entered the "Championships" rather than the World Cup as the entry form doesn't include a meal option (my oversight).
I'd be grateful for a prompt response to allow us to book the meals with the Buckminster team.
The cost will be £10 for each lunch and £20 for the Saturday evening meal (likely to be a barbecue). Drinks are included in the price.
HJi Kevin Champs entered + lunch paid
thanks Adrian
Hi Kevin - no e mail received - but lunch for 2 days please.
Thanks
I've picked up the remaining entries and meal orders - thank you all.
hi. Re the above. Shame that the results were lost when the Website broke. Can they be reinstated? If only that the winners can be permanently on record.
Championships P only Trophy - 2024 is the 5th year that this trophy has not been presented. This year won by Ken Moss - a lifetime achievement for Ken. Just presenting 'another' trophy on the day for the photographs is seriously not good enough. (moderated my language somewhat).
On my own initiative, I contacted the 2019 winner last week, Chris Halgreen (surprisingly easy using those new fangled telephone things) & he immediately found the trophy & today will take it to a committee member. The trophy will require names engraving, a new name plaque & has not been updated since 2017.
No fault of Chris - but surely the committee should have done this 4 years ago?
ps - The Trophy/UKF3A/BMFA list has not been revised since 2022.
